P-Shot® Broward County, FL

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), the key ingredient in the P-Shot, is a safe, alternative option for the treatment of erectile dysfunction or for those desiring to enhance their sexual experience.

P-shots also benefit men who may experience difficulties resulting from prostate issues, medication, or Peyronie’s disease.

PRP uses the platelets and healing growth factors from your blood to initiate collagen formation and connective tissue regeneration and repair. PRP also stimulates a healing cascade, which can improve circulation.

These collective actions all result in improved blood circulation in the penis, improving sexual function and experience.

What is the P-Shot?

The P-Shot, or Priapus shot, is a quick, easy, strategic injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the area of the penis to help restore sexual function in men. PRP uses your blood’s platelets and healing factors to initiate local stem cells’ healing and regenerative capabilities to heal the area.

Platelet-rich plasma is prepared from a blood draw, and the sample is spun at a very high rate of speed to collect the platelets and growth factors. Once prepared, the PRP is carefully injected into the penis under ultrasound guidance.

We use Emcyte’s PurePRP® System to ensure the highest concentrations of platelets and growth factors to maximize the healing power of your PRP.

P-Shot Benefits

How Long Will Results Last?

PRP does not offer instant results, but regenerates injured or damaged tissue over time. This takes a few weeks. Clinical studies show that the effects of PRP injections last anywhere from twelve to eighteen months. Results from the P-shot vary with each patient. Most men will experience increased sensitivity in the treatment area resulting in stronger erections and orgasms within one to two weeks following treatment. It may take up to three to four weeks to notice the full effects of treatment, especially regarding changes in size and appearance. Depending on your situation, we may recommend a second P-Shot or combine the therapy with other modalities, including shockwave or the use of a vacuum pump.

Before & Preparation

  • Initially, you will see one of our sexual enhancement providers to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for the procedure. They will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your situation.
  • Avoid all anti-inflammatory medications like Aleve, Motrin, Advil, Celebrex, and cortisone seven days before treatment
  • Notify your provider if you take any blood thinners.
  • Eat a light meal one to two hours before treatment.
  • Drink 6-8 glasses of water the day before and after treatment.
  • No smoking five to seven days before and after PRP treatment will impair your healing process.

During the Procedure

  • A small amount of blood is drawn from a vein in your arm.

  • The PRP is injected under local anesthesia into the areas of the penis responsible for erectile dysfunction and sexual arousal using ultrasound guidance.
  • For best outcomes, a second treatment may be recommended.

Aftercare & Recovery

  • Expect mild inflammation, swelling, and possible redness for a couple of days post-treatment
